NEIGHBORHOOD PLAN
The Philadelphia Planning Commission has accepted our Neighborhood Plan, the first acceptance of any neighborhood plan by the Philadelphia City Planning Commission. This means that the Commission will take the Plan's recommendations into account when deliberating on projects in our area, although it does not necessarily mean that the Commission agrees with each of the recommendations. Our Plan will be placed on the Commission's website together with the only other accepted neighborhood plan, that of Logan Square. The Neighborhood Plan was produced through the efforts of many board members, most significantly, Lou Coffey (past President), who was ably assisted by Heather Ascher (former Vice President). The original draft of the Plan was prepared by a team of professionals assembled by John Gibbons of Kise Straw & Kolodner. At the Board's request, the first draft was revised by a committee chaired by Steve Huntington, and which included Tim Kerner, Lenora Berson, George Brodie, Michelle Langer, Josh Abbell, and Marjorie Arendt. View the entire the plan here as an Adobe PDF. If you print the Neighborhood Plan from our website, we recommend that you use a color printer so that the extensive graphics will be meaningful.
If you prefer, you may purchase your copies of the Neighborhood Plan with a credit card online through PayPal. Just click on the "Buy Now" button below and follow the PayPal instructions. *Please allow 2-4 weeks for processing, shipping, and delivery. |
